Committee members discussed the operational differences between in-school visitors (badged at the front office) and after-hours volunteer work at sporting events, where building supervisors and booster clubs often take responsibility.
Members proposed practical steps to reduce risk and improve compliance: (1) clarify the policy's definition of "visitor" versus "volunteer" so booster activities are explicitly covered; (2) convene booster-club leaders for an information session and policy review; (3) pilot a volunteer badge system so event staff can easily identify cleared adults. Administration said it would prepare sample language (and AR options) and arrange a booster summit to align practices.
The committee requested administration to return with suggested policy language or ARs and to report back on enforcement options.
