The Huntington Union Free School District board approved multiple personnel items at its Aug. 25 meeting, accepting the superintendent’s recommendations across several personnel schedules.
Among actions recorded, the board appointed Nicole DeFilippo as a mathematics teacher at Huntington High School. The personnel presenter also recognized 20 educators who earned tenure; the chair invited each honoree to come forward, collect a rose and join a group photo to be taken in the amphitheater after the meeting.
