Pascack Valley board approves routine consent agendas, minutes and adjourns

The Pascack Valley Regional High School District Board of Education approved multiple consent agendas and the minutes of prior meetings during its Aug. 25 session.
Board members moved and seconded approval of the policy consent agenda (items 2–7; item 1 canceled), the education consent agenda, a 27-item human-resources consent block, and a 30-item finance consent agenda that included several donations noted under item 8. Roll-call votes were recorded on the record with board members speaking “yes” during the recorded roll calls.
On approval of minutes, several members recorded abstentions for the July 16 minutes: Missus Wong said she would abstain on July 16 and vote yes on July 23; Miss Stephens recorded an abstention; the transcript records Mr. Weaver answering yes for July 16 and indicating an abstention for July 23. Other members recorded yes votes for the minutes. The board adopted the minutes with those recorded abstentions noted on the record.
During the finance discussion the chair thanked donors listed with agenda item 8. The board moved and seconded a motion to adjourn and the meeting was adjourned.
The board also noted a board retreat scheduled for Sept. 13 and that a full assessment presentation on state testing will return at the September meeting.
