A council member warned that future annexations could bring areas into the city that lack city-code build standards, creating long-term maintenance responsibilities.
Councilmember Grimes cast the lone no vote; council adopted ordinance o2591 to bring the zoning and subdivision code into compliance with state law. The motion passed 6–1.
