The requested change would allow lights at Hyperfield until 9 p.m. during two seasonal windows (mid‑August through November, approximately 105 nights; mid‑March through May, approximately 75 nights) and PA use for varsity‑level MIAA‑sanctioned contests. The committee resolved to involve land‑use counsel (a recommended attorney, Megan Hall, was discussed) to prepare the ZBA application and suggested the application mirror the Planning Board request where appropriate.
A motion to authorize the application and allow staff to work with counsel was made and the committee voted 4–0 to proceed. Committee members asked staff to return with details on scope and costs if outside counsel is engaged.
