On Item 12, the council approved Temporary Use Permit 20512-CC for an alumni welcome and kickoff event hosted by Positive Recovery Centers at 2219 West Euless Boulevard. Interim Planning Director Lisa Payne told the council the privately organized event is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 14 from 5 to 9 p.m., will be held outdoors on the southeast portion of the building with barricades separating the event space from the fire lane, two 10-by-10 pop-up tents, a two-person band directed toward adjoining industrial property, on-site restrooms and no alcohol. Councilmember Paddell moved to approve the permit; Councilmember Eads seconded and the vote was unanimous.
The council then considered and approved first and final reading of Ordinance No. 2443 appointing the judge of the municipal court of record for the City of Euless. Councilmember Bynum moved for approval and Councilmember Price seconded; the ordinance passed 6-0. The council separately approved an extension of the municipal court judge’s contract; Councilmember Tompkins moved, Councilmember Eads seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.

The council opened the public comment period but no members of the public spoke. The meeting concluded after a brief reminder about the city’s Holiday in the Park event.
Mayor Pro Tem (unnamed) closed the meeting by wishing attendees well and reminding the public about the upcoming community event.
