Fountain proclaims Nov. 11 as Veterans Day; city announces ceremony and park dedication for fallen officer

Council member Hinton read the proclamation emphasizing the community’s commitment to honor veterans and their families. Mayor Pro Tem Rick announced a joint ceremony with American Legion Post 38 at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 11 at American Legion Post 38; he said a meal provided by Fountain Up would follow the ceremony and encouraged residents to attend.
Police leadership also invited the public to a park dedication on Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. to honor Officer Julian Becerra, who died in the line of duty in 2023. The Police Department said additional details would be available via an upcoming press release and the department’s Facebook page.
