The Grove City Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend City Council approve a development plan for a 3,000-square-foot storage building behind the Columbus Powersports property at 2815 Holm Road.
Staff explained the metal building would be 30 feet by 100 feet, with a stone-and-stucco north facade to match the existing on-site building. Plans indicate the structure is sited to reduce impacts on the stream corridor protection zone, but staff said the plans show a minor intrusion and that additional information on grading and mitigation must be provided after plan approval to determine appropriate remedies. Materials submitted indicate the building will be used only for golf cart storage and have no public or employee occupancy.
No representative was present in the public comment period and no public comments were made. Staff recommended approval subject to follow-up on stream corridor mitigation; commissioners voted unanimously to recommend approval to City Council.
Next steps: the Planning Commission’s recommendation will be forwarded to City Council; staff will require additional grading and mitigation details to address impacts in the stream corridor protection zone.
