Pingree Grove honors Patrol Officer Jonathan Garcia with lifesaving award

According to the department, Garcia arrived to find a 3-week-old infant who was not breathing. Acting quickly, he administered back blows and helped clear the infant's airway. The child regained breathing before paramedics arrived; Garcia also advised the family on CPR training afterward.
"Thanks to officer Garcia's quick response and calm composure under pressure, his action prevented a potential tragedy," a department representative said during the presentation. The board recognized Garcia with a lifesaving award and a uniform service pin.
