Pottawattamie County approves preliminary plat for Wonder Ridge subdivision

Matt White, director of planning and zoning, outlined the proposal during the public hearing: the current site contains two parcels that would be reconfigured into three — a home site of about 5 acres, a grain-bin parcel of about 7 acres, and roughly 46 acres remaining with agricultural buildings. A local real-estate representative, Ed Spencer, confirmed the farm buildings and a sale on one of the lots were pending.
White said the Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed the plat and recommended approval. After brief technical questions from supervisors about access and potential future subdivision of Lot 2, the board closed the public hearing and approved the resolution by roll call; supervisors registered unanimous support.
What’s next: Planning staff said there are no immediate additional public hearings for this matter. County records and map sheets will be updated and the signatory resolution will be filed as recorded.
