The commission approved a land‑development plan on Aug. 6 to convert three attached former office buildings at 315 North Second Street into a 10‑unit multifamily property.
Planning staff noted the project had received the requisite zoning relief at a prior meeting and recommended LDP approval, citing adaptive reuse benefits and the project's potential to revitalize a long‑vacant set of buildings. Architect Richard Bridal and project manager Michael White introduced the application and confirmed there was no proposed site work; applicants said a permanent easement provides parking benefits for the project.
Commissioners asked technical questions about easement mapping and site plan sheets. After clarifying that no proposed site changes were included in the application, a commissioner moved to approve the plan with no additional conditions; the motion passed on a voice vote.
The applicants were encouraged to proceed with any outstanding filings and coordinate as needed with staff.
