Staff presented a cost estimate of $44,375 to cover the section (described as just under three miles). "That's trying to get as many years out of this road as possible," staff said.
Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the corrective-asphalt work. Separately, the commission approved payment of an Argonne invoice for CRS-2 emulsion used in current tar-and-gravel paving operations in the amount of $8,006.49; staff explained there was no purchase order covering that shipment in the relevant zone but argued timely paving was necessary given favorable weather.
Both items were approved by voice vote; staff said the corrective treatment does not require a budget amendment and that funding is available.
