The St. Clair County Commission adopted a resolution to formally close out the Trails Inn project after a public hearing where county staff said the project, which began in September 2017, is complete.
County staff member Mr. Aka said the county had advertised the public hearing and posted notices, and that the county had already drawn Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to the project. "We're actually gonna close that project now," Mr. Aka said during the hearing.
No members of the public registered objections during the hearing, and commissioners moved and approved the closeout resolution by voice vote later in the meeting. County staff noted the remaining administrative steps include final signatures from the chairman and submission of closeout paperwork to the state agency and HUD as required for CDBG projects.
The resolution and supporting documents were approved as presented; the commission recorded the action as the formal end of the Trails Inn project and closed the associated agenda item.
