Board approves rezoning in Solomon to let resident build home for her son

McGaughy explained the original MX designation dated to earlier agricultural and feedlot uses and that the neighborhood has evolved into a residential area.
Sandra Herrado did not read a formal statement but was present and the board heard no public opposition. Vice Chairman Paul David moved approval, citing community benefits and the applicant’s long service (he referenced Herrado’s history with youth support programs in Solomon). The motion passed by voice vote.
What changes: The parcel’s zoning will be changed to AR-30 to allow a single-family residence; county planning staff will implement the rezoning paperwork and update records.
