Englewood staff preview December consent agenda; Flock Safety MOU pulled for more information

City Manager Sean Lewis reviewed proposed consent items for Englewood City’s Dec. 1 council meeting and recommended that most be placed on consent while flagging one item for removal.
Lewis listed the proposed consent package: student art calendar finalists, introduction of facilities manager Young Hung Hong, an amendment to the municipal code to opt out of duplicative state electric-vehicle charging permits, a contract with Axon Enterprises for body-worn cameras, multiple intergovernmental agreements (IGAs) including with Littleton and a South Platte Renew PFOS IGA, a Dry Gulch IGA amendment, a South Inglewood Basin IGA amendment, a farm lease renewal with South Platte Renew, and acceptance of a Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant of $40,873 from the Colorado Division of Criminal Justice.
On the Flock Safety MOU — an agreement involving Flock Safety and the Denver Police Department — staff indicated they would "pull that off of consent" to collect additional information before presenting it to council. "We'll pull that off of consent," Lewis said after staff raised questions about that particular item.
Staff and the Mayor discussed whether other items historically on consent might be pulled for separate discussion; otherwise, most IGAs and renewals were recommended for approval. No formal votes or ordinance adoptions occurred at the mayor–manager meeting; the session served as a staff preview of the upcoming council consent agenda.
Next steps: staff will prepare consent agenda packets for Dec. 1 and provide additional information on the Flock Safety MOU before it appears to council.
