DuPage Foundation says $10 million in ARPA grants have reached tens of thousands of residents

Representatives of the DuPage Foundation updated the county board on the DuPage Community Transformation Partnership (DCTP), which distributes ARPA funds through grants to local nonprofits.
Presenters said the partnership has issued about $10,500,000 in grants since July 2022, including about $450,000 leveraged from other foundation partners. They reported that more than 68,000 households and roughly 250,000 residents have been impacted, with 4.7 million pounds of food distributed, more than 34,000 counseling sessions delivered and more than 400 people housed through these grants.
Foundation representatives and nonprofit speakers described how the funding has supported mental-health staffing, food-pantry infrastructure, transitional housing and workforce-development pilots. The foundation said a digital impact report will be published next month and that a new $300,000 commitment will seed a three-year workforce-development grant lane.
Board members thanked the foundation for collaboration; some highlighted continuing needs such as youth mental-health supports, family homelessness and sustainable funding. Presenters said the DCTP aims to move from short-term relief toward capacity building and long-term solutions through partnership and additional fundraising.
