The Clearfield County Board of Commissioners approved several contractual items during its meeting.
Forensic Pathology Associates: County staff described an updated agreement for 2026 with Forensic Pathology Associates that largely retained prior language but included a $100 increase to the routine forensic autopsy fee, a $10 increase to a toxicology post-mortem screen, a 90-day termination clause and an extension of specimen retention to five years (previously one year). County staff said the vendor has been used for several years without issues. The board moved and approved the agreement.
Intergovernmental inmate housing: The board approved a one-year intergovernmental agreement with Centre County for temporary housing of inmates, with a $75-per-day charge and a 90-day termination clause. County staff said the arrangement has been used on occasion with no reported issues.
VR training MOU (children & youth): The board approved an MOU with Pennsylvania children-and-youth administrators for a shared virtual-reality (VR) training program for Children & Youth Services; the county’s share for the first year was presented as $4,401.35. County staff cautioned that additional costs may apply for VR headsets and renewals. The transcript lists the agreement term as 11/01/2025 through 10/21/2026.
Vehicle detailing: Commissioners approved a purchase-of-service agreement with Swati’s Custom Detailing for routine cleaning of CYS vehicles. The contract as read in the transcript was listed as running from 10/01/2025 through 06/30/2025, but county staff said the intent was to carry the county to the next fiscal year; the transcript end date appears inconsistent and is flagged for clarification.
Each contract or agreement was moved, seconded and approved on the record. The board did not attach additional policy conditions beyond the standard termination clauses noted.
