Bluff coordinates food pantry operations as winter donations planned

She said Drew Cooper and local mission leaders met with Victor Arrendondo of LDS humanitarian services to explore truckload donations for November and December. "The truckload of food is easier. We don't have a way to transport," Anne said.
Council emphasized the immediate need for protein items (canned meats, soups with meat) and discussed a short-term drive‑by distribution model separate from USDA/pantry stock. Anne said approximately $2,400 in town cash could be used this month to cover shortages. Long-term oversight and who will run the pantry remain undecided; Anne suggested the Bluff Community Foundation could take operations on in 2026 once standards and processes are established.
No formal action was taken. Staff will coordinate with the mission and LDS humanitarian services for short‑term donations and continue to develop operational standards for potential outside management.
