Hayden council approves Marks Ranch final plat, arts commission logo contest and appoints Shauna Wright

Hayden City Council on Nov. 12, 2025 approved several administrative items including acceptance of infrastructure for the Marks Ranch final plat, authorization of an Arts Commission logo contest with a $200 prize, and the appointment of Shauna Wright to the Arts Commission.
On Marks Ranch, staff explained this final plat was placed on new business for transparency and that final-plat conditions (bonding or completion of certain items) must be satisfied before the plat is finalized. Council discussed a temporary turnaround at the south end of the property that meets International Fire Code minimums and noted timing for completion depends on later phases and adjacent development. A motion to approve the Marks Ranch final plat and accept public infrastructure, contingent on staff-recommended conditions, was moved and approved by roll call.
The Arts Commission asked permission to hold a logo contest. A council motion that included a $200 monetary prize was moved, seconded and passed.
Council also voted to appoint Shauna Wright to the Arts Commission; the appointment was moved, seconded and approved.
No other final actions were taken tonight on these items; staff will follow up on the Marks Ranch contingencies as listed in the staff memo.
