On service automation, staff described a bot to summarize call‑center interactions to speed handling and a separate HR bot to answer pension‑related employee questions. IT also described plans to "ingest the municipal code for the city of Marietta" so citizens can query city code via a bot and get targeted answers.
Separately, staff outlined work on a train‑notification pilot to warn drivers approaching downtown crossings so motorists avoid being trapped by a train. Staff credited Mark Rice and Ronnie for work on the detection and notification concept and said the effort would use sensors and AI‑driven software.
Staff projected an initial phase of some IT projects to go live after January and said cybersecurity training and simulated deepfake exercises are already under way for employees. No formal policy change or procurement vote was recorded during the agenda review; staff said future project phases would include procurement and implementation planning.
