Supervisors report road-edge deterioration after ride-along; staff says VDOT coordinating fixes tied to solar-project concerns

Supervisor Lane (S3) said the ride-along found shoulders and edges that have deteriorated, noting the intersection of Beachland and White Marsh where exposed culverts and shoulder damage need attention. "They were aware of a lot of what we were showing them and that, he attribute a lot of it to normal wear and tear and that the solar project was not necessarily responsible for everything that we were looking at," Lane summarized of VDOT's response.
County staff (S2) referred to a status update from Jackson Marlowe on the Cavalier solar project, saying Marlowe reported coordination with VDOT to address the exposed culvert and road edges at the White Marsh and Beachland Road intersection. "So something is being done," the staff summary said, while members acknowledged the process may be slow.
