The North Ridgeville City Board of Education on Nov. 4 held first readings of the proposed 2026–2027 and 2027–2028 school calendars and reviewed several operations items that will return for a second reading on Nov. 10. The presenter said the calendars were previously presented at the October meeting and that the second reading and consideration for approval will occur at the Nov. 10 meeting.
Miss McCarthy announced that the board’s regular second November meeting date has been changed to Monday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m.; the board will hold a leadership retreat following that meeting. On building and operations, staff described reassignment of equipment (for spare parts or disposal), and recommended adoption of a resolution authorizing administration to sell, scrap, or donate furniture and equipment of little or no value with accounting kept by the director of operations. Staff also said the district’s current food‑service management contract expires at the end of the school year and the district will advertise a bid to solicit proposals for a new food‑service management company. These items were presented as first readings and scheduled for second readings on Nov. 10.
No formal votes were recorded on these first‑reading items at the Nov. 4 meeting.
