Stacy Rogers named to Planning & Zoning; Vintage Township board seats filled

The council appointed Stacy Rogers (District 5) to the Planning & Zoning Commission to fill Brandon Hardaway's vacancy (vote 4-3) and unanimously appointed Jim Bob Connor, Brianna Cooper and John Russell to the Vintage Township Public Facilities Corporation for six-year terms.
At the Nov. 11 meeting the City Council considered several routine appointments. Deputy City Secretary Jimmy Maynard reported Brandon Hardaway's resignation from the Planning & Zoning Commission and presented three nominees. Councilmember Dr. Wilson moved to appoint Stacy Rogers (District 5) to fill the vacancy; the motion passed by hand-raise vote, 4-3.
Maynard also briefed the council on the Vintage Township Public Facilities Corporation, a three-member board created in 2007 whose bylaws require a majority be members of the Vintage Township Homeowners Association board. With all three seats vacant, the council appointed Jim Bob Connor, Brianna Cooper and John Russell, each to six-year terms; that appointment was approved unanimously.
What happens next: Stacy Rogers will take up the Planning & Zoning seat vacated by Brandon Hardaway; the Vintage Township board will be restored to its full membership.
