The North Ridgeville City Board of Education on Monday night approved the written minutes for its Oct. 6 and Oct. 21 meetings, adopted a consent agenda, and approved the districts financial reports for October 2025.
Presiding comments opened the regular meeting and the clerk presented the agenda and a recommendation to approve the written minutes. "I can attest to the joy that it brings to everyone involved," read an unnamed board member from a written correspondence by Lynn M. Prince praising the districts staff and student recognition program. The board agreed to hold November recognitions at its first December meeting and December recognitions at its second December meeting.
On routine votes, a motion to approve the minutes was moved by Miss Saxon and seconded by Mr. Haynes; roll call recorded affirmative votes from the members present. A separate motion to adopt the consent agenda was moved by Mr. Grigsby and seconded by Miss McCarthy; the clerks roll call again returned affirmative votes from the trustees present, approving the consent agenda.
Miss McCarthy moved to approve the October 2025 financial reports in one reading, with Miss Saxon seconding. The roll call for the finance report recorded affirmative votes from members present and the financial reports were approved.
Before adjourning, the board heard announcements and community items read from the district newsletter, including choir activities and other fundraisers. The meeting ended after a motion to adjourn (moved by Miss Saxon, seconded by Mr. Haynes) passed on roll call.
The board did not hold extended public testimony or debate on policy matters during the meeting. The next scheduled meetings in December will include the districts staff and student recognitions.
