At its Oct. 15 meeting, the Fairbanks North Star Borough Health and Social Services Commission approved the final draft of the fiscal year 2027 Human Services Community Matching Grant (HSCMG) request for proposals by roll call vote 7-0.
Staff reported the only changes from the prior draft were calendar and date adjustments; "there were no substantive changes that we put into the RFP for this year," a staff member said. A commissioner moved to approve the RFP and another seconded; the clerk conducted a roll call and all present commissioners voted yes.
The clerk recorded individual roll call confirmations: Walker (yes), Wapet (yes), George Bettersworth (yes), Boyle (yes), Aoto (yes), Webb (yes), Wagaman (yes). With the motion adopted, staff will proceed with the RFP as approved and commissioners were reminded of the next meeting on Dec. 10 and the mayor's forthcoming notification in early November about reappointments.
