Erath County Commissioners Court recorded Nov. 12 that it received five proposals in response to an open request for proposals (RFP) for hosted VoIP services, advanced endpoint protection and network monitoring tools.
The presiding officer read the list of submissions aloud: Verge Network Solutions; VIVE Broadband; Real Time Networks; Glenn Apple; and Vested Networks. The court said it will forward the proposals to the county IT department for technical review against the county's stated requirements and asked staff to bring a recommendation back to the court for possible adoption.
No procurement decision was made during the Nov. 12 special session; the court only opened and received the proposals for review. Additional competitive evaluation, pricing details and any contract award will be decided after the IT department completes its review and reports back to the court.
