Texas A&M AgriLife Extension District Administrator Eleni Patinas introduced finalist Lehi Petitsas for the county extension agent — horticulture position. Petitsas thanked the court and described her background: a bachelor of science in horticulture from Texas A&M University, experience in Texas viticulture (including at Grape Creek Vineyards), work with research vineyards, and prior roles supporting agricultural programs at nonprofit and community organizations. She said she intends to focus on horticultural education, environmental stewardship, resiliency and community outreach in Comal County.

Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the appointment and welcomed Petitsas to the county extension team.
