Miss Frazier, director for Comal County Public Health, told the court the department provided 409 immunizations in October, including 153 off-site flu vaccinations, conducted three outreach events (serving an estimated 295 people) in New Braunfels, Bulverde and Spring Branch, and opened 26 epidemiological investigations after 229 notifiable conditions were reported (20 were confirmed). She reminded residents that a Canyon Lake clinic will be held Dec. 3 by appointment and provided the public-health phone number and office address.

On a related agenda item the court considered Amendment No. 4 to the Department of State Health Services contract HHS001439500019 under the Center for Health Emergency Preparedness and Response program. Frazier said the grant had earlier been reduced and then later fully restored; the amendment as presented would fully fund the position. Commissioners approved authorizing the county judge to sign the amendment electronically.

The discussion was informational and procedural; no changes to services beyond staffing funding were announced.
