Speaker 1, a Poulsbo Tree Board member, announced they have accepted a position as lead arborist with King County Parks and Recreation and will be moving closer to ferry access and traveling to Renton frequently. "I was just offered the lead arborist position, for King County Parks and Recreation District," Speaker 1 said.
Board members congratulated Speaker 1 and discussed transition timing. Speaker 1 said they do not plan to resign immediately but will likely take a step back during the early months of the new role and expect to be more engaged again by the second quarter next year.
The board acknowledged the change and noted staff will coordinate to cover tasks during the transition period.
