The City of Dorals City Council on Thursday adopted its 2026 legislative priorities and authorized transmittal to state and county officials.
After a prior workshop to shape themes and objectives, the council voted to submit a single, coordinated set of priorities to the governors office, the Florida Senate and House, and Miami-Dade County. The chair said the formal record will allow the city and its lobbyists to speak with one voice about the citys objectives.
Councilwoman Nicole Reynoso moved to adopt the priorities and Councilwoman Vino seconded. The council approved the resolution by roll call without recorded opposition.
Council members said the coordinated approach is intended to increase the chances of a positive outcome on items that require state or county support. The motion instructs staff to transmit the adopted priorities to the city's lobbyists for follow-up; staff will return to council with any substantive developments.
