Procurement staff presented bid 26012 for the Ada County Sheriff’s Office 2026 Toyota vehicle purchase at the Nov. 12 meeting. Two bids were received: Arkin Logistics ($156,000) and Peterson Toyota ($118,465). The evaluation committee recommended Peterson Toyota as the lowest responsive bidder.
The procurement presenter read the recommendation letter and detailed the two bids before the board. Speaker 2 moved to accept the evaluation committee’s recommendation and award the purchase order to Peterson Toyota in the amount of $118,465; the motion was seconded and carried on a unanimous voice vote.
No commissioner raised objections during the award discussion. Staff noted the award follows the county procurement rules for purchases below the $2,250,000 threshold and that the procurement file contains the evaluation used to reach the recommendation. The county will issue a purchase order and proceed with vehicle acquisition for the Sheriff’s Office.
