Madison School District board elects officers, names committee chairs at organizational meeting

Galen Cawley was identified as interested in the vice-chair role and was elected vice chair by unanimous vote. Emily Rosenthal was re-elected board secretary after a motion to retain her in that role carried without opposition.
The board approved a slate of committee chairs and membership proposed by the executive committee. The curriculum and student development committee will be chaired by Cathy Miller with members Mary Anne Connolly and Jessica Wyman. The facilities committee will be chaired by Emily Rosenthal with members Lisa Dean and Diane Infantine. The finance committee will be chaired by Galen Cawley with Emily Rosenthal and Jessica Wyman as members. The personnel committee will be chaired by Maureen Lewis with Cathy Miller and Mary Anne Connolly serving on it. The board also named Galen Cawley as the learning liaison. The committee appointments were moved, seconded, and approved unanimously.
The board opened the meeting to public comment and reported that no members of the public requested to speak either online or in person. After completing the slate of officers and committee appointments, a motion to adjourn carried unanimously and the meeting ended.
