In the same report, Leon previewed CAASPP (state testing) results, saying families will receive official confirmation that the district continues to perform above state and county standards, and encouraged families to contact site administrators if they have difficulty using the Aeries portal.
Leon also described a new state requirement for early literacy screening in kindergarten through second grade; the district selected a state‑approved tool (referred to in the transcript as the Multitude screener) and began screenings for first and second grade students that week. Administrative Director Dr. Lauren Tovar led parent information sessions in September, and the superintendent said the district offered parent information and will present CAASPP metrics in a future board presentation.
