House approves final votes on a package of bills, including prosecutor-training measure

The House of Representatives of Puerto Rico met Nov. 12, 2025, and approved a final-vote calendar that included a package of bills and joint resolutions. Leadership presented the final calendar and the body held a 30-minute final voting period before closing the session and reading final tallies.

Leadership included Proyecto de la Cámara 151, 170, 279, 383, concurrence with Senate Proyecto 428, Cámara 511, Cámara 591, Cámara 852, Cámara 896 and the joint resolutions Cámara 181 and Cámara 240 on the final calendar. The chamber opened final voting and allowed members to register explanatory votes or abstentions before the tally was announced.

The Clerk read the final tallies: Proyecto de la Cámara 151 passed 42–9; Proyecto de la Cámara 170 passed 38–6 with 7 abstentions; Proyecto de la Cámara 279 passed 51–0; Proyecto de la Cámara 383 passed 51–0; Proyecto de la Cámara 428 (concurrence) and several other listed measures passed by recorded tallies consistent with the clerk’s announcement. Leadership declared that, as a result of the final vote, the projects on the calendar were approved.

The House also authorized various committee executive sessions and extended timeframes for committee reports where requested. Several measures approved on final vote now advance to the governor’s consideration or to the agencies designated for implementation, depending on the measure. The session recessed and reconvened at the times announced by the presiding officers and concluded with the House adjourning until Nov. 13, 2025.
