Custer County’s Board of County Commissioners approved routine claims, an appointment and administrative schedules during its Nov. 12 meeting.
Finance presented payables over $5,000 (including fuel, vehicle payments, inmate housing reimbursements and other department charges) for a total of $153,006.83; the board approved the counts payable list by voice vote. The board also appointed Charlie Kearns to the airport board following a motion to confirm his membership.
Administratively, the board accepted the 2026 meeting schedule for the Board of County Commissioners and the Board of Health, keeping mostly Wednesday meetings and scheduling quarterly board of health meetings. The board also approved Resolution 25‑46 adopting the county’s 2026 official holidays and discussed observance for four‑day workweek employees.
Road & Bridge staff noted the seasonal closure of the brush drop‑off facility and asked staff to post signs where gates may be locked when only two employees are on duty. No public comment was recorded and the meeting adjourned at 10:14 a.m.
