The chair said the deed's violation provision states the party "shall have 10 days after receipt of such notice to undertake appropriate actions, including restoration." The commission noted that 10 days may be short and planned to follow up roughly a month after sending the letters.
Members also reviewed changes to monitoring procedures: several reports have been filed and the state now requires online uploads rather than emailed reports. Members allocated remaining monitoring assignments and encouraged those who had not completed their surveys to finish before the end of the year.
Next steps: staff will finalize the certified letters and maps, mail them to the affected landowners, and the commission will revisit the item at the next meeting or sooner if owners respond.
