Brentwood conservation panel approves minutes, OKs several small reimbursements

The Brentwood Conservation Commission approved its October minutes and authorized several routine reimbursements at its November meeting.

Member 3 moved to approve the minutes as amended for typographical errors and Member 2 seconded; two members announced they would abstain during the voice vote. "I think I need to abstain from that one," said Jeff (Commission member), who later described attending the NHACC conference.

The commission voted to pay an outstanding $434 invoice from Northam for drawing and plan work now from the commission budget and to reconcile that payment with pending grant and bond funds when the grant disbursement is recorded. Member 4 noted some of the earlier work had been reimbursed by a pending grant and that staff would coordinate adjustments with Julie when grant funds arrive.

The commission also approved reimbursements and routine payments by voice vote: $60 to cover Jeff’s attendance at the New Hampshire Association of Conservation Commissions (NHACC) annual meeting (to be charged to professional development funds), $300 for NHACC membership dues for 2026, and $48.78 to reimburse Doug Finnan for reflective signs installed on town corners. Motions were made, seconded and carried by voice vote on those items.

Members discussed using incoming grant money and bond-account adjustments to reimburse the commission’s operating account after the fact and asked staff to track and report the accounting changes in the grant report due at year end.

The commission set its next meeting for Dec. 10 and moved on to other agenda items.
