Staff estimated about a 90‑day hiring and onboarding timeline; they warned that if a replacement is not in place by March 1 the city will have limited capacity to plan and secure contracts for the summer concert series, potentially disrupting the program. Committee members urged a short-term backup plan and asked staff to begin candidate recruitment and sponsorship outreach as soon as agreement terms are clarified.
Nikki said she will document current processes and help set up a strategy checklist for the concert series before she leaves, and several members volunteered to assist with continuity in the short term.
