Everman council appoints two youth-advisory members and approves one-time commercial garage-sale permit

At the Nov. 11 meeting the Everman City Council filled two youth-advisory vacancies and approved a commercial garage-sale permit.
Council Member (unnamed) moved to appoint Phoebe Dudley and Faraha Morangi to the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee; the motion was seconded, council polled and the motion carried. Staff said both appointees were present and that with these two additions the youth advisory committee was now full.
Later in the meeting the council considered permit application #4970 for a commercial garage sale at 613 Shelby Road Suite A, submitted after the owner’s death as an apparent one-time liquidation. Staff recommended approval as a special circumstance and clarified the ordinance treats ongoing commercial garage sales differently; a council member moved for approval, it was seconded and the council polled with all recorded 'aye' votes.
Both actions were approved by roll/poll (council votes recorded as Place 1, Place 2, Place 4, Place 5, Place 6 and the Mayor).
