The Glens Falls Board of Public Safety approved several routine items at its Nov. 12 meeting.
On a motion moved by a member and seconded by another, the board approved minutes for the Oct. 8 regular meeting and the Nov. 5 special meeting. The motion carried on a voice vote.
The board then approved a resolution permitting the 5th annual Open Door Mission Gobble Wobble to be held Nov. 27, 08:30'10:30, with the route beginning at the Open Door Mission on Lawrence Street and following a path through Black Street, Dix Avenue, Hunter, Bay Street, part of Glen Street and Warren Street. S1 noted set-up and takedown dates and asked whether there were questions; members approved the resolution on a voice vote.
A second resolution approved the Kiwanis "Spirit in the Trees" event at Cranbrook Park from Nov. 29 through Jan. 1, 2026, with tree removal by Jan. 4, 2026; organizers estimated heavy weekend traffic and viewing until 10 p.m. Members approved the event on voice vote.
Finally, the board approved a city-run holiday season kickoff for Dec. 6 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the South Street pavilion, including a requested road closure and food trucks; the motion carried.
All approvals were recorded by voice vote; no roll-call tallies were provided in the meeting minutes.
