Middlesex County staff compiling comments on draft State Development and Redevelopment Plan; deadlines set for December

Myra Becker, regional planning staff, told the board that county staff are finalizing detailed comments on the draft final State Development and Redevelopment Plan and on the associated draft impact statement and infrastructure needs assessment. She said those supporting documents supplement the state plan and will inform whether the plan can meet its stated goals when followed. Becker said comments are due to the New Jersey Office of Planning Advocacy by Dec. 3, 2025, and that the State Planning Commission is scheduled to approve the final plan and associated documents on Dec. 17, 2025. She also said the Office of Planning Advocacy will implement more than 800 state-plan map modifications over 2026. Becker invited board members to contact her or colleagues for a review of the detailed comment document.
