Jeremy (speaker 9), who presented the item, described the program as a long-standing inspector program that this year yielded a larger-than-expected award. ‘‘It will be a reimbursement grant,’’ Jeremy said, adding that the award covers inspector duties including personnel hours, assistance with state testing, inspections, education outreach, travel and workshops. He said the grant is structured as a two-year program: the board accepted the first year now and the county will reapply for the second year.
After brief discussion about program scope and past county participation, the board moved, seconded and approved accepting the grant and giving permission for an authorized county official to sign via DocuSign.
Next steps: county staff will execute the DocuSign authorization and administer the reimbursement grant according to state requirements.
