Council backs county tennis-court grant application and discusses city-hall bank stabilization

City staff asked council to support Resolution 154-2025, an application to the Cuyahoga County Department of Development’s Community Development Supplemental Grant (CDSG) program for a $50,000 award to resurface community park tennis courts. Staff said they had already applied and asked the council to move the legislation to passage to meet the county’s timeline.
Staff also presented Resolution 155-2025, authorizing a partner agreement with the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) for a city-hall stabilization project. Staff explained the top of the bank is eroding toward the building; design work is planned in the next year with construction expected in 2027.
What’s next: Council was asked to move the CDSG legislation and proceed with the NEORSD partner agreement; staff will follow up with required applications, agreements and design procurement as indicated in the meeting.
