Royal Palm Beach High to launch Quantum AI Nexus Academy amid district honors

Royal Palm Beach High School presented plans for a new Quantum AI Nexus Academy during the Education Advisory Board meeting on Nov. 10, part of broader district remarks that also recognized local school leaders.
A presentation described the Quantum AI Nexus Academy as a program offering hands-on exposure to quantum computing and artificial intelligence and preparing students for tech careers. "Enter the future at Royal Palm Beach High School with the new Quantum AI Nexus Academy," a presenter said during the meeting. Board members asked whether the program would be unique in the county; a regional representative replied the academy "will be the only one" in Palm Beach County.
The meeting also celebrated local awards: Dr. Stephanie Nance of Crestwood Middle School was named Central Region Principal of the Year, and Crestwood was reported eligible for the state Exceeding Expectations award for Title I schools that show strong improvement. Lauren Hall of Cypress Trails was identified as a Central Region assistant principal finalist.
District leaders framed the honors as part of a multi-year strategic plan and linked the recognitions to academic improvements and learning gains at the schools. The board and attendees applauded the honorees and discussed next steps for school celebrations and SAC meeting schedules.
The board will next meet Dec. 8, when Western Academy Charter School will present.
