Board awards tax‑bill contract, approves IT purchase and extends township magazine contract

At its Nov. 12 meeting the Macomb Township Board approved several administrative contracts and purchases: award of tax‑bill printing to Lineage Connect, an IT purchase authorization for PCs and docking stations, a magazine contract extension with Drive Creative Services and a first amendment to a cell‑tower lease.
Treasurer (presentation) said the township's previous vendor for mailing tax bills reached the end of its contract and the finance department conducted a solicitation process. After interviews and evaluations the board awarded the contract for printing, sorting and mailing tax bills to Lineage Connect as the lowest qualified bidder. The board approved the contract award unanimously.
IT Director Jason Lipari requested authorization to purchase up to 35 PCs and docking stations from CDWG at a cost not to exceed $38,600 using cooperative contracts (SourceWell and Bid/Source contracts). Lipari said these are budgeted replacements to be rolled out over time; the board approved the authorization unanimously.
The board also exercised the first extension on a township magazine services contract with Drive Creative Services. Scott from Drive Creative said ad sales are expected to offset costs over time; the board noted postage costs for the first two issues ($7,050 and $9,114) and approved the extension unanimously.
Separately, staff presented a first amendment to the lease with Singular Wireless for a township cell tower identified as 'Bella Woods 1' at Station 1. Negotiators were able to hold the annual increase at 3% and maintain the current rent rather than agree to reductions requested by the carrier. The board approved the lease amendment unanimously.
