EDC reviews financials, facility operations and holiday community drives

EDC staff provided multiple operational reports at the Nov. 13 meeting.

Financials: Speaker 1 said financial statements were included in the meeting packet and described two account arrangements: an Austin Bank account used for day-to-day operations and a higher-yield account where the EDC keeps funds not needed immediately. Facility operations and outreach tools: Staff and board members discussed creating a visual site map or poster showing open parcels and available properties for use in outreach and at conferences; board members suggested a poster or digital display to highlight open sites and local businesses.
