The Ocean View School District Personnel Commission voted to approve its October meeting minutes and the consent calendar and confirmed an agenda change that pulled Item 14 for return next month.
The meeting opened at 04:33 with the pledge of allegiance led by Commissioner Bidnick. The commission approved the October minutes after Commissioner Bidnick moved the motion, which passed 3-0. Commissioner Gooch moved to approve the consent calendar and Commissioner Bidnick seconded; the chair recorded a voice vote in favor and the items on the consent calendar — including a job description for the director of information technology (page 5) — were recorded as passed. Presiding official (S1) noted that Item 14 had been removed from the agenda and would be brought back at the next meeting.
During discussion of the IT director job description commissioners and attendees recognized long service by IT director Rick Larson; no substantive revisions were raised on the document before the consent items were approved. Public comment earlier in the meeting included Elizabeth Carr, who identified herself as the CSCA chapter president and praised the board’s reappointment of Bob Ewing as the union representative to the personnel commission for another three-year term.
The commission scheduled its next meeting for December 11 and adjourned at 04:42 after Commissioner Gooch moved to adjourn and Commissioner Bidnick seconded.
