Jim Prune told the PACE Review Board that 2333 Michigan Road was judged an unsafe structure by the City of Madison and needs a full exterior and interior rehab, including replacement of siding, windows and roofing. "It does have a basement ... there was quite a bit of water, standing water in the basement," Prune said, adding mildew and mold throughout the interior.
Prune said his plan is to treat the mold and fully renovate the house for resale. He noted the work will not be inexpensive and mentioned using LP SmartSide for exterior siding.
The board's scoring sheet gave the project a 34.33, below the program's 36‑point minimum, so the PACE Review Board did not forward 2333 Michigan Road to the Board of Public Works for final approval. Board members advised that applicants will be notified after the Board of Public Works meeting.
