Board updates: Witches Walk attendance was strong; tree-lighting and Christmas market planned Nov. 28

"They had a record amount of witches and it was also a Guinness record amount of witches," Jason said when summarizing the event’s turnout. He also thanked local partners for donating to support Wi-Fi at Mills for kids and events.
Jason reviewed the schedule for upcoming holiday events: the Sandusky Community Celebrations Council will hold a lighting ceremony on the Friday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 28); organizers plan a tree-lighting around 7:00 p.m., followed by the opening of a Christmas market down in Washington Park.
The board discussed how best to notify businesses and residents: the city uses an online special-event guide, QR-enabled wayfinding, social media and email alerts, and members offered to distribute printed guides to restaurants and community hubs for residents who prefer paper copies. No changes to event permits or charges were proposed at the meeting.
