Shelby County board member apologizes publicly and resigns from District 7 effective Nov. 14

During public-body comments on Nov. 13 a District 7 Shelby County board member delivered a public apology for earlier actions that interrupted the dive team’s operations and contributed uncertainty for rescue personnel. The board member described negotiations with other leaders and county officials that led to restored oversight and documentation for the dive team and thanked colleagues and outside lawmakers for help.
